Caring for clients and their families using generally accepted practices and interventions is no longer sufficient in health care. Health care practitioners must now provide "best practices" or care that is evidence based, meaning grounded in research and known to promote better cost and quality outcomes.
The TCU Center for Evidence Based Practice and Research (CEBPR) is located within the Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences (HCNHS). The purpose of the CEBPR is to provide evidence-based practice and research products and services to health care agencies. This entrepreneurial center is a unique approach to marketing faculty expertise in research and evidence-based practice to health care agencies.
The Center provides an opportunity for vibrant, collaborative learning and research by faculty and students interacting with real world healthcare practice problems. The Center also accelerates TCU's connection with the healthcare community through its sponsorship of the TCU Evidence-Based Practice and Research Collaborative.
